The Forceware 65 series (betas at this time, though the 66.81 on nzone is WHQL certified), also includes "Anisotropic sample Optimisations" and "Anisotrophic Mip filter optimisations" in addition to the trilinear optimisations.Įdit: Just downloaded the 66.81 User Guide, here's what it says for the optimizations. If this is what you're talking about, the difference between on and off is the GeForce 6800 using anisotropic filtering with "Brilinear filtering" (Better than bi-linear filtering, less quality than tri-linear filtering) and using anisotropic filtering with full trilinear filtering.
